Torben Wiedenhöfer erweitert neben den im Usability Engineering intensiv betrachteten und unterstützten Softwareentwicklungsphasen ‚Analyse‘, ‚Design‘ und ‚Implementierung‘ diesen Diskurs durch die Adressierung der ‚Nutzungsphase‘. Dies gelingt, indem er Nutzern eine gestaltungsaktivere Rolle zuschreibt und gleichzeitig Entwicklern ermöglicht, designbezogene Aufgaben in die Nutzungsphase zu übertragen. Diese Studie stellt entsprechende Werkzeuge und ein Vorgehensmodell vor, die empirisch begründet und in der Praxis evaluiert wurden.

Von der Gründung bis zu ihrer ersten Wahlniederlage 1993 regierte die konservative "Liberaldemokratische Partei" (LDP) Japan. Da stellt sich die Frage, wie das möglich war. Was macht die LDP als Partei aus? Wie ist sie strukturiert? Was ist Faktionalismus? Um diese Frage und den damit verbundenen Auswirkungen geht es in dieser Arbeit.
