Exploring Services Science
Service science constitutes an interdisciplinary approach to systematic innovation in service systems, integrating managerial, social, legal, and engineering aspects to address the theoretical and practical challenges of the services industry and its economy. This book contains the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Exploring Services Science (IESS), held in Porto, Portugal, in February 2013. This year, the conference theme was Enhancing Service System Fundamentals and Experiences, chosen to address the current need to explore enhanced methods, approaches, and techniques for a more sustainable and comprehensive economy and society. Mutta miten uuteen sote-malliin päädyttiin? Miten uudistuksessa käy palveluiden saatavuudelle, tehokkuudelle ja tasa-arvolle? Millaiseksi muodostuu kuntien, hyvinvointi-alueiden ja valtion suhde? Soten saldo? kuvaa uudistuksen sisällöllisiä ja rakenteellisia ratkaisuja sekä vuosia kestänyttä vastarintaa, joka viime vaiheissa kiihtyi poliittiseksi valtapeliksi. Tietojohtamisen tapausesimerkkinä käytetään SOTEA eli sosiaalihuoltoa ja terveydenhuoltoa mukaan lukien meneillään oleva SOTE- uudistus. Kirjaa voidaan pitää pienimuotoisena tutkielmana tietojohtamisen pirulliseen maailmaan. Teos soveltuu käsikirjaksi alan asiantuntijoille sekä oppimateriaaliksi. Toimialamurros on käynnissä ja ajatusten ristipölytys on tarpeen.
Hyvinvointi- ja terveyshyöty
Hyvinvointi- ja terveyshyöty on yhtenäisenä näkökulmana tuore, mutta se sisältää paljon tunnettuja haasteita, ongelmia ja kehittämiskohteita. Pureudun hyvinvointiin ja terveyteen ennen muuta hyötynäkökulmasta. Keskeisen hyötyjän pitää olla kansalainen, asiakas. Sen vuoksi kirjan alaotsikkona on ajopuusta aktiiviksi. Vuonna 2016 kirjoitin BoD-kirjan Soteuudistus - pirullinen ongelma alaotsikolla ajopuu tai projekti. Vuonna 2017 jatkoin osittain soteteemaa aiheella Tietojohtaminen ja tapaus Sote.
