General relativity ranks among the most accurately tested fundamental theories in all of physics. Deficiencies in mathematical and conceptual understanding still exist, hampering further progress. This book collects surveys by experts in mathematical relativity writing about the current status of, and problems in, their fields. There are four contributions for each of the following mathematical areas: differential geometry and differential topology, analytical methods and differential equations, and numerical methods.

This edited book provides the readers with the concepts and in-depth knowledge of plant disease assessment and conventional and modern technologies that aid in precise and accurate phytomathometery. This book discusses the evolution of plant disease assessment procedures from the primary visual estimation-based assessment to modern approaches, their practical application for reliable disease quantification, yield loss estimation, and the efficacy of disease control strategies for sustainable crop protection. Significant information is provided on the major aspects of the topic, including remote sensing, imaging techniques, molecular phytopathometery, microarray, and immunotechnology. The boo...

Two former Texas Rangers, Augustus McCrae and Woodrow Call, leave their Texas ranch to lead a cattle drive to Montana, encountering outlaws, Native Americans, and ex-loves along the way.
This volume consists of expanded versions of invited lectures given at The Beemfest: Advances in Differential Geometry and General Relativity (University of Missouri-Columbia) on the occasion of Professor John K. Beem's retirement. The articles address problems in differential geometry in general and in particular, global Lorentzian geometry, Finsler geometry, causal boundaries, Penrose's cosmic censorship hypothesis, the geometry of differential operators with variable coefficients on manifolds, and asymptotically de Sitter spacetimes satisfying Einstein's equations with positive cosmological constant. The book is suitable for graduate students and research mathematicians interested in differential geometry.
