Per la donna Animus è la rappresentazione di un maschile di cui ha vissuto per secoli la supremazia, e che ha introiettato a livello inconscio come qualcosa di “superiore” al femminile. Inoltre, secondo le affermazioni di Emma Jung :”Non è ancora risolto il problema dell’Animus -logos, cioè la formazione di una spiritualità “veramente” femminile che non si limiti ad essere una mera imitazione della spiritualità maschile” ( Animus und Anima Rascher Zurich 1934 pag.35).
