Piaf-Cocteau, la Môme et le poète
11 octobre 1963. Alors qu'on lui passe commande d'un article pour rendre hommage à Piaf, qui vient de s'éteindre, Jean Cocteau a une troisième crise cardiaque. Fatale. Le poète surréaliste, le cinéaste, le peintre, l'homme de théâtre n'aura survécu que 24 heures à la reine de la chanson réaliste d'après-guerre. C'est la fin d'une longue amitié ; pendant vingt-trois ans, ils se sont écrit. Elle l'appelle « le Ronsard d'aujourd'hui », il lui trouve « un front de Bonaparte ». S'appuyant sur la correspondance inédite de ces deux monstres sacrés, l'auteur révèle la nature de cette longue amitié qui commence en pleine Occupation. Cocteau ne rate pas les premières des spectacles de Piaf, qui lit avec délectation tous les ouvrages de Cocteau, voit tous ses films, admire ses dessins et ses sculptures... Elle lutte chaque jour pour sa survie. Cocteau, lui, saupoudre sa vie de sagesse mortelle en espérant retrouver au plus tôt « l'autre côte du miroir d'Orphée ».
