This book disseminates recent research, theories, and practices relevant to the areas of surface engineering and the processing of materials for functional applications in the aerospace, automobile, and biomedical industries. The book focuses on the hidden technologies and advanced manufacturing methods that may not be standardized by research institutions but are greatly beneficial to material and manufacturing industrial engineers in many ways. It details projects, research activities, and innovations in a global platform to strengthen the knowledge of the concerned community. The book covers surface engineering including coating, deposition, cladding, nanotechnology, surface finishing, precision machining, processing, and emerging advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance the performance of materials in terms of corrosion, wear, and fatigue. The book captures the emerging areas of materials science and advanced manufacturing engineering and presents recent trends in research for researchers, field engineers, and academic professionals.

This volume is about the emerging development trajectories of rural labour relations in India, based on studies from its regions and states. Its overarching theme is the rural class conflict and the results of such conflict, and the link between this and the nature and impact of state intervention. Vigorous emancipatory processes are identified, and the limitations of and contradictions inherent in such processes are examined. Both powerful general trends and significant regional variations are distinguished.
Analyzing the modifying effects of various inorganic nanofillers on the mechanical properties of polymer nanocomposites, this book covers processing, characterization, properties, and applications to analyze how these materials allow for innovative multifunction. This volume looks at various synthesis methods available within inorganic nanofillers and what characterizes them, covering design, manufacturing processes, and end-user results. The chapters focus on metal oxides, energy storage, and devices, alongside polymers used for packaging. This book details the role inorganic nanofillers have to play in cost-effective manufacturing processes due to their strength and efficiency, and their subsequent relevance to low-cost yet high-performance materials. Covering topics such as corrosion resistance, wear resistance, strength, and characterization, this book is an essential companion for any engineer working with inorganic nanofillers. This book will be of interest to engineers involved with inorganic nanofillers in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, and biomedical engineering.
The book opens a new vista in the sphere of verse translation in India. In the introductory part there is a departure from a mass of Hindi criticism. The bases of selection of dohas from the Sakhi are: (1) Kabir`s proverbial and worldy wisdom, (2) analogy-finding gift, (3) richness and variety of imagery, (4) recurrent theme of death, (5) gift for satire, and (6) rhetorical powers. this introductory part primarily focusses on Kabir as poet, which is his `real estimate`. Thus, the introductory part is a piece of scholarly criticism judging and appreciating Kabir`s Sakhi on the canons of English literary criticism. The versification (four-line stanzaform in loose lambic tetrameter lines) has an easy flow and almost parallels the flow of Kabir`s dohas. With the Hindi version and notes, the book will be a valuable reading especially for the English-speaking readers.
