Pubertas adalah masa ketika seorang anak mengalami perubahan fisik, psikis, dan pematangan seksual. Perubahan ini terjadi pada remaja usia 9-18 tahun, hal ini juga terjadi pada anak berkebutuhan khusus seperti anak down syndrome. Anak down syndrome adalah anak-anak yang mengalami sekumpulan gejala keterlambatan perkembangan mental, akibatnya mereka tidak bisa mempersiakan diri sendiri untuk menghadapi masa pubertas, perlu penanganan khusus dari keluarga terdekatnya. Buku ini membahas perkembangan pubertas pada anak laki-laki dan perempuan dengan down syndrome. Bahasa yang disajikan sederhana disertai gambar untuk memperjelas materi yang disampaikan ke anak. Tokoh yang ditampilkan adalah orang tua yang memiliki anak down syndrome laki-laki dan perempuan yang saling berinteraksi dengan tanya jawab. Buku ini diharapkan dapat memfasilitasi orang tua dalam memberikan edukasi seksual pada anak dengan down syndrome karena peran orang tua sangat diperlukan dalam perkembangan perilaku pubertas dan untuk mempersiapkan diri, mendukung, dan siap menjadi partner untuk membantu anaknya menghadapi masa pubertas.
