The following letters, found among the papers of Mr. Lawrence after his death, and now among the manu scripts of the Boston Public Library, are connected with its history, and have a local interest. Excerpt from Catalogue of the Groton Public Library at Groton, Mass, Vol. 2 I. The Library shall be open Mondays from 9 to 12 A. M., 2 to 6 P. M. Wednesdays, from 2 to P. M., to 8 P. M Saturdays, from 9 to 12 A. M., 2 to P. M., to 9 P. M.; for delivery and return of books: except that no books shall be delivered on the Saturday next preceding the first Monday in April, annually. The Librarian, however, in his discretion may deliver books at other times, not incon sistent with these regulations.
