International Law Reports
The International Law Reports is the only publication in the world wholly devoted to the regular and systematic reporting in English of decisions of international courts and arbitrators as well as judgments of national courts. Among the cases reported in Volume 116 is the 1997 'Danube dam' case concerning the Gabcíkovo-Nagymaros Project (Hungary/Slovakia) together with three colour maps. Also included is the hitherto unreported decision of the English High Court on act of State and the effect of Security Council resolutions in the latest phase of Kuwait Airways Corp. v. Iraqi Airways Co. Several important decisions of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights on State responsibility for human rights actions are reported. Finally, there is a group of newly translated cases on State immunity and international organisation immunity from Austria, France, Portugal and Switzerland which brings the volume to a close.
El Hierro Island Global Geopark
This open access book explores El Hierro Island, which is geologically the youngest of the Canary Islands (Spain). Having registered its latest volcanic eruption in 2011-2012, it is an oceanic subtropical island with low population pressure and a largely unchanged natural landscape. Accordingly, a great geodiversity of volcanic morphologies and erosion processes has been preserved. In addition, half of the land is protected as a Biosphere Reserve and as a UNESCO Global Geopark, and the island is pursuing energy self-sufficiency. Local tourism is a sustainable activity, as the main attractions are either diving or hiking through the island’s various volcanic landscapes. Covering these and other aspects, and using accessible language, the book will appeal to scientists specialized in geotourism, active leisure entrepreneurs, and members of the general public interested in volcanic geoheritage and geotourism.

Mudejarismo and Moorish Revival in Europe examines key aspects related to the reception of Ibero-Islamic architecture in medieval Iberia and 19th-century Europe. It challenges prevalent readings of architecture and interiors whose creation was the result of cultural encounters. As Mudéjar and neo-Moorish architecture are closely connected to the Islamic world, concepts of identity, nationalism, religious and ethnic belonging, as well as Orientalism and Islamoscepticism significantly shaped the way in which they have been perceived over time.
