Richard B. Morris, an internationally known early American scholar, was a historian at both City College of New York and Columbia University. His dissertation, Studies in the History of American Law, helped establish American legal history as a field. This biography is based primarily upon Morris' extensive papers and the recollections of historians who knew him well.

RB Morris is a celebrated poet and a recording artist. He is known for mixing poetry and spoken-word with music and is a renowned singer-songwriter who tours the US and Europe. Lucinda Williams has called him "the greatest unknown songwriter in the country." And Steve Earle says "RB Morris is the reason I started writing poetry." He recorded an album on John Prine's Oh Boy! Records. RB was writer in residence at the University of Tennessee from 2004-2008, and was inducted into the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame in 2009. Along with this new book he has a new cd titled Spies Lies and Burning Eyes.
