El llibre recull les aportacions presentades a la 2a Jornada Museus i Patrimoni de l’Església a Catalunya, que va celebrar-se al Museu de Lleida el 20 de novembre de 2014. La jornada, en la qual van participar especialistes vinguts d’arreu del país, va aprofundir en la formació de col·leccions diocesanes a Catalunya, abordant la gènesi dels museus de l’Església catalana, custodis d’un patrimoni bàsic per entendre la història del país.
