Rebecca Cooper and the Ring of Isis

Rebecca Cooper is a fourteen-year-old witch. Orphaned at three, she is raised by two elderly aunts, who taught her the Wiccan way. She is sent to Ysgol Y Dewin, a school in another dimension, to learn the craft. While there, she discovers that she is the reincarnation of a witch called Gwynneth. Gwynneth was murdered by her sister Angharyd, two thousand years ago, when they fought for ownership of the book of shadows, presented to them by the goddess Astarte. The book, which only these two witches were able to read, held the secrets of everything in the world and would let the sole owner rule the world. Gwynneth hid the book before she died, along with some trinkets which held clues to the whereabouts of the book. Rebecca has to find these trinkets before Angharyd does, in order to stop evil ruling the world. Will she succeed?

Most claims of Native American ancestry rest on the mother's ethnicity. This can be verified by a DNA test determining what type of mitochondrial DNA she passed to you. A hundred participants in DNA Consultants multi-phase Cherokee DNA Study did just that. What they had in common is they were previously rejected--by commercial firms, genealogy groups, government agencies and tribes. Their mitochondrial DNA was not classified as Native American. These are the "anomalous" Cherokee. Share the journeys of discovery and self-awareness of these passionate volunteers who defied the experts and are helping write a new chapter in the Peopling of the Americas. "The Yateses' DNA findings are revolutionary." --Stephen C. Jett, Atlantic Ocean Crossings. "Monumental."--Richard L. Thornton, Apalache Foundation.

Since the beginning in 1943, the mission of the Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority has been to cultivate scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, and to be of service to all mankind. Timeless Service in Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter chronicles the history of the women who sojourned in the life of one chapter of the first Black female Greek letter organization and the events that impacted their journey in Savannah, Georgia, from 1943 to 2012. Emma Jean Hawkins Conyers, former president of the GSO Chapter, begins with the story of Adeline Graham, a white philanthropist who bequeathed funds to the chapter for use in establishing an orphanage for Negro children, and reveals how the chapter responded to the challenge. As she continues the chapters history through the years, Conyers shares notable details on members, awards, community projects, and events that helped to preserve a legacy that endures to this day. Timeless Service in Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter captures the spirit of unity, sisterhood, and service that still drives the sorority to fulfill the mission after commencing nearly seven decades ago.
