Jugendarbeit ist nicht nur in Deutschland von Bedeutung. Im europäischen Raum hat sich in den letzten 10 Jahren ein neues jugendpolitisches Verständnis von „Youth Work“, dem englischen Begriff für Jugendarbeit und Jugendsozialarbeit, entwickelt. Dies geht einher mit vielen spannenden neuen Möglichkeiten. Nur: was genau ist unter „Youth Work“ zu verstehen? Neben einem detaillierten Überblick über die bereits existierenden jugendpolitischen Strukturen der Europäischen Union und des Europarates für die Jugendarbeit wird in diesem Informationsband auch das Engagement der „Community of Practice“ (d.h. der Gruppe aller Menschen, die in und für Jugendarbeit aktiv sind), verdeutlicht. Erfolgreiche Schulkooperation
Institutionelle Kooperation von Mittelschulen und Einrichtungen der Kinder- und Jugendarbeit wird oft als problematisch beschrieben. Regina Münderlein stellt sich daher die Frage, welche Handlungslogiken zum Generieren günstiger institutioneller Wechselwirkungen innerhalb der Kooperationstätigkeit beitragen. Anhand einer Mikroanalyse der subjektiven Perspektiven von Lehrkräften und Fachkräften der Sozialpädagogik arbeitet sie heraus, dass unter anderem Handlungslogiken der informellen Kommunikation, der spezifizierten Professionalität, des strategisches Vertrauens, der Nachhaltigkeit sowie der Anerkennung von Akteursleistungen ausschlaggebend sind. Im Zentrum des Kooperationshandelns steht das Erfolgs- und Nutzenerleben aller AkteurInnen und Institutionsebenen.
