K.H. Imam Bulqin adalah salah seorang dari sederetan nama para pahlawan lainnya. Ia adalah sosok ulama yang ikut aktif terlibat dalam perjuangan melawan Tentara Belanda pada saat agresi Belanda II tahun 1948-1949 di Bengkalis. Ia bersama Tentara Republik Indonesia mengatur siasat perang gerilya. Tidak hanya sebatas itu, ia juga ikut serta bersama para muridnya melalui Laskar Sabilillah terjun ke medan perang menghadapi para penjajah dengan menggunakan senjata tradisional.
