This book examines the Northern Ireland civil rights movement and the Reverend Ian Paisley’s opposition. Although street demonstrations began in the summer of 1968 and lasted a year, activism to advance Ulster’s catholic community originated in the late 1950s. During this period, Paisley crusaded against Protestant apostasy and the liberalization of the Unionist government, and asserted a Calvinist response for protestants. Paisley formed a political and theological association with North Americans who professed militant fundamentalism and fought the integration of American society. Between 1965 and 1968, Paisley made three visits to the United States and Canada. During these extensive speaking tours, he witnessed the consequence to a successful campaign. The relationship, religiosity and first-hand knowledge of current events helped to shape Paisley’s counter-demonstrations in Northern Ireland, and create an atmosphere for sectarian strife and the “Troubles.”
Contact with gods, guides and guardian angels plays a huge role in the world of human experience--and has done throughout history. Amazing though it may sound, religion, music, science and even politics are all inextricably linked with the other side--and beyond. In fact, without higher life, there wouldn't be any life at all. In this book Richard Lawrence reveals, with captivating honesty, the secrets of the psychic world, telling a kaleidoscopic array of fascinating true stories to illustrate what being psychic really means.
Maintaining that understanding karma is the key to complete success in mind, body, and spirit, Richard Lawrence shows how to remove the walls created by our subconscious guilt and uncover the path to transformation.
In the wake of the tragic events in Ferguson, Missouri, this book serves as an important reminder of the 1993 Stephen Lawrence Case, presenting never-before-reported information about the inquiry into his murder. Panel member Richard Stone helps explain why the inquiry has not brought sufficient results, and why it has failed to change institutional racism. Using the case as a springboard, he discusses wider contemporary issues--such as policing practices and double-jeopardy rulings--and the lessons we can learn from the many details of the case that have otherwise been buried. Now available in paperback, this hard-hitting book makes essential reading for academics, students, researchers, and anyone interested in crime, police, and institutional racism.

Integration and black power collide and force a black man who has walked comfortably in the black and white communities to realize he is not free in either place and needs to work for a level of interracial justice in which all of us can be true to our roots and feel at home anywhere in the world.
