Anuj was born on August 28, 1975 in Delhi. He was a resident of Janakpuri in South West Delhi. Rank—Captain Unit—17 JAT Regiment War—Kargil War (Operation Vijay – 1999) Award—Maha Vir Chakra (Posthumously) Special Recognition—A road named after him known as "Captain Anuj Nayyar Marg" in Janakpuri, Delhi.
