In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Verein Über den Tellerrand e.V. plante das Fachgebiet Entwerfen und Baukonstruktion, Prof. Donatella Fioretti, Technische Universität Berlin im Wintersemester 2015/16 ein 1:1 Entwurfsprojekt für das Projekt Kitchen on the Run. Ein handelsüblicher Überseecontainer wurde zu einer mobilen Küche ausgebaut und mit räumlichen Erweiterungen versehen. In einem integralen Konzept wurden auch Regale, Tische und Bänke von Studierenden der Architektur entworfen und gebaut. Dorf macht Oper
In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Projekt “Dorf macht Oper” des Vereins FestLand e.V. plante das Fachgebiet Entwerfen und Baukonstruktion, Prof. Donatella Fioretti, TU Berlin 2014 ein 1:1 Entwurfsprojekt. Für die Inszenierung einer Oper hat sich der Verein einen Opernpark gewünscht, der in kleinen Gebäuden die Veranstaltung begleitende Aktivitäten unterbringen könnte. Kleinarchitekturen sollten der musikalischen Inszenierung dienen. Die entstandenen Pavillons Kinderwerkstatt, Ein-Buch-Bibliothek, Flaschenspiel, Kasse, Grillpalast und Tonhalle sind von Studenten im 2. Semester des Fachgebiets geplant und gebaut worden. Blue Planet, Red and Green Photosynthesis
This book describes the mechanisms that allow aquatic photosynthetic organisms to contribute about half of the global primary productivity; in order to mitigate climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide and producing oxygen, they transform the original anoxic atmosphere of the Earth over geological time. Aquatic photosynthesis is performed by a wide diversity of organisms, predominantly involving cyanobacteria, and algae derived from the “red-lineage”, unlike terrestrial primary productivity, which is restricted to “green-lineage” plants. Blue Planet, Red and Green Photosynthesis describes how, in order to maximize productivity, aquatic primary producers have evolved a series of structures and mechanisms that increase the limiting supply of carbon dioxide to the enzyme, Rubisco, which is responsible for carbon dioxide fixation. This housing construction design manual documents and analyzes some 130 international residential structures from the last fifty years. From the standardized floor plans of the 1960s to the more individual concepts of the 1980s and the changed requirements and housing types of recent years, example structures by famous and lesser known architects from throughout the world showcase the tremendous variety of possible designs. The categorization of projects from a town planning perspective is supplemented by the detailed typological description of the relevant housing types. Every project is presented with its typical floor plans to a scale of 1:200; sections, site plans, and photographs illuminate each building’s structure and situation.
