The Irish National Liberation Army was one of the most ruthless terrorist organisations during the troubles in Northern Ireland. Medievalia et Humanistica, No. 48
Since its founding in 1943, Medievalia et Humanistica has won worldwide recognition as the first scholarly publication in America to devote itself entirely to medieval and Renaissance studies. Since 1970, a new series, sponsored by the Modern Language Association of America and edited by an international board of distinguished scholars and critics, has published interdisciplinary articles. In yearly hardcover volumes, the new series publishes significant scholarship, criticism, and reviews treating all facets of medieval and Renaissance culture: history, art, literature, music, science, law, economics, and philosophy. Volume 48 is a special issue that presents the outcome of an international workshop (“Transnational Aspects of Early Modern Drama”) held (virtually) at Ruhr-Universität Bochum in June 2021. The conference was hosted by Jan Bloemendal, one of the most distinguished scholars in the field. Text und Bild bei Hans Magnus Enzensberger
Das Verhältnis zwischen Text und Bild dient als ein interdisziplinärer Forschungsgegenstand der Literaturwissenschaft. Das Werk Hans Magnus Enzensbergers jedoch ist unter diesem Aspekt noch kaum untersucht worden. Diese Untersuchung stellt das intermediale Phänomen bei Enzensberger in den Mittelpunkt, wobei nicht nur die jüngeren lyrischen und prosaischen Erscheinungen von Text- und Bildbuch für die Forschung heranzuziehen sind, sondern auch die früheren lyrischen Werke aus neuer Perspektive betrachtet und untersucht werden sollen. Die Frage nach dem optischen Phänomen bzw. dem Bild als materiellem Komplex von Farben und Formen in Enzensbergers Werk steht im Fokus der Untersuchung. Die vielfältigen Ausdrucksformen von Bild-Text-Wechselbeziehungen und ihre Bedeutungen sollen aus poetologischer, buchgestalterischer, bildtechnischer und bildfunktionaler Perspektive systematisch charakterisiert werden. Berücksichtigt werden dabei auch archivalische Dokumente im Deutschen Literaturarchiv Marbach, die Enzensbergers eigene Beschäftigung mit Bildern veranschaulichen.
