Forages should be the basis of all diets in horse feeding. Therefore it is of major importance to determine which parameters will influence their quality. Changes on chemical composition along the vegetative cycle, nutrient losses during harvesting, preservation and storage are factors that could have an effect on nutritive value, as well on digestibility and palatability. A specific grazing and ingesting behaviour, linked to plant preferences and the selection of feeding sites will have an impact on biodiversity. O escrito lança um olhar crítico sobre os conceitos de loucura e desordem mental dominados no séc. xx pelo modelo nosológico da Psiquiatria que defende que a vida mental se reduz a fisiologia e à genética. Da Antropologia de Hegel, filósofo do espírito, mostra-se que a consciência não é uma entidade ideal ou uma coisa material, e revelamos que a loucura não é um defeito fisiológico nem provém do exterior, antes é um fenómeno constitutivo da vida psíquica e da atividade dialética compreensiva do espírito, cuja liberdade e infinitude não se definem nas leis da bioquímica. Com a fenomenologia de Merleau-Ponty, no séc. xx, consolidamos essa ideia de que nem a consciência nem o comportamento humano são reações automáticas, típicas do pensamento causal. Conclui-se a argumentação apelando a investigadores da área da Filosofia, Psicologia e Psiquiatria como Carlos Pires, P. Breggin, T. Szasz ou Laing. Lançamos o desafio para a criação de uma disciplina a que chamamos Filosofia da Psicologia.
