It is the 1950's in Cleveland. Bryan Wiseman never looks for trouble but trouble finds him. It's a hot summer day when two bullies throw him down a ravine, then toss his bike on top of him. A year later Bryan, now eight, is in the hospital dealing with a rare neurological disease caused by his fall. His disorder, dystonia, is cured by a series of operations. Between the surgeries Bryan and his friends deal with the bullies. Along the way they meet Al Rosen and Herb Score of the Cleveland Indians and learn some lessons about life.

Beyond the Boardroom: Examining the Concepts of an Effective Leader in a Culturally Conscious, Community-Based Nonprofit Organization Revised 2nd Edition

Cities across the country rely on nonprofit organizations to provide quality services and effective campaigns that will benefit individuals, families, and communities. Reliable men and women are placed in leadership roles within these organizations, but are they prepared to lead? Dr. Troy Washington worked with and studied the leadership of Peacemaker Social Services under Gary Bellamy II, which provided him with insight into this unique line of work. With this in mind, Dr. Washington wrote Beyond the Boardroom: Examining the Concepts of an Effective Leader in a Culturally Conscious, Community-based Nonprofit Organization as a guide for anyone seeking leadership advice related to nonprofit organizations. From directors to team members, everyone makes up an important part of the overall organization. While there may not be a single definition of a leader, there are qualities that stand out among those with true leadership skills. Dr. Washington’s hope is that by inspiring leaders, they will use their roles to change the lives of those around them, for the better.

Much like a pilot need not know the pure physics behind his flight, a skilled poker player need not know the pure mathematics behind winning poker play. Too often have poker books taken a purely theoretical approach to poker instruction. This book is the only poker book available that caters specifically to online sit'n'go (SNG) single'table low'limit Texas Hold'em tournaments. More importantly, it is the only poker book that guides the reader on a progressive path upward through the various limits, with only the information necessary to win with any bankroll or skill level to beat that specific low limit. Presented in a series of steps, the book provides guidelines that help tell the reader...
