CAUTIs ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PASIEN DENGAN GANGGUAN INFEKSI KARENA PEMASANGAN KATETER URIN TEORI DAN APLIKASI
Buku ini ditulis berdasarkan hasil literatur review dan pengalaman penulis di rumah sakit mengenai semakin meningkatnya angka kejadian infeksi karena pemasangan kateter urin atau CAUTIs (Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection) yang sangat merugikan pasien karena pasien harus membayar biaya lebih untuk menjalani perawatan dan lama rawat menjadi lebih lama. Angka kejadian CAUTIs pada tahun 2011 di rumah sakit Amerika sebesar 93.300 kasus (Merchant et al., 2017), sekitar 36% pasien terpasang kateter urin yang dirawat di rumah sakit beresiko CAUTIs dan biaya yang dikeluarkan 2 kali lebih banyak dibandingkan pasien yang tidak terinfeksi (Parker et al., 2017). Angka kejadian CAUTIs terus meningkat, pada tahun 2014 di Indonesia mencapai 90-100 kasus per 100.000 penduduk per tahun atau 180.000 kasus baru per tahun (Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia, 2014). Kejadian CAUTIs di beberapa rumah sakit di Indonesia seperti kejadian CAUTIs setelah 73 jam terpasang kateter urin di RSU Raden Mattaher Jambi pada tahun 2012 sebanyak 23,91% (Sepalanita, 2012), CAUTIs ruang penyakit dalam RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh pada tahun 2013 sebanyak 11,42% (Samad, 2013).
