The theme of the conference is "Reconstructing Morals, Education, and Social Sciences for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals". This theme was formulated due to several considerations. First, the symptoms of moral decline that have the potential to destroy the nation. Morals guide humanity towards truth and civilization. The phenomenon of the dehumanization process in the industrial era that pushed people to be part of abstract societies tends to ignore humanity. The education process as a humanitarian system is increasingly marginalized, especially during discussions about the industrial revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0. The conference placed six sub-themes for speakers and participants to share ideas, namely: Social Sciences and Laws, History and Cultural Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Morals and Humanities, Policy, Politics, and Communication, Education. The committee has received 195 abstracts from prospective speakers. However, there are only 80 abstracts that are eligible to be presented at this conference.

It is certainly not Indonesia if the country doesn’t have plenty of unique, interesting stories with a variety of traditions and cultures, so that thanks to the behavior of the community, the country of various ethnics has many stories. One of them is the story about traditional fire ball that highly amazes western media. “The Premier League may have produced the “hottest” players in the world, but they are nothing compared to the fire ball players”, one of English newspapers write. Imagining Indonesia
Increased interest in Indonesian culture and politics is reflected in this work's effort to advance and reject various notions of what it means to be Indonesian. It also addresses perceptions of how Indonesia's citizens and state officials should interact. Because, in recent times, the Indonesian state has been so strong, much of the book is about state-sanctioned and state-supported notions of Indonesian identity and culture and efforts to come to terms with--or sometimes to challenge these official or dominant notions. The contributions presented here represent a wide range of disciplines, points of view, and ideological orientations. Taken together they convey the notion that much might be gained if the idea were abandoned that a single understanding of what constitutes Indonesian culture is possible or desirable.

STRUKTURAL 2020
We proudly present the proceedings of 2nd International Seminar on Translation Studies, Applied Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies 2020 (STRUKTURAL 2020). It focuses on how disruptive era influences participants field of researches, especially in Humanities and Social Studies. As we know, the world today is changing and the world we are facing now is the one where everything is connected. Not only are our PCs, our tablets, our hand phones, and other devices connected but everything that happens in societies is also now “connected”. Today, even a robbery incident in a small village has a possibility to make a city in another part of the world collapse. This butterfly effect of social change may also give a big impact in our understanding and our field of study of social sciences and humanities. More than 70 manuscripts were presented at this conference with around 41 of them selected to be published in proceedings. We hope by this conference, discussions on how research on humanities and social studies is possible in a disruptive era will give a perspective for the social and humanities studies development.
A History of Modern Indonesia
Since the Bali bombings of 2002 and the rise of political Islam, Indonesia has frequently occupied media headlines. Nevertheless, the history of the fourth largest country on earth remains relatively unknown. Adrian Vickers' book, first published in 2005, traces the history of an island country, comprising some 240 million people, from the colonial period through revolution and independence to the present. Framed around the life story of Pramoedya Ananta Toer, Indonesia's most famous and controversial novelist and playwright, the book journeys through the social and cultural mores of Indonesian society, focusing on the experiences of ordinary people. In this new edition, the author brings the story up to date, revisiting his argument as to why Indonesia has yet to realise its potential as a democratic country. He also examines the rise of fundamentalist Islam, which has haunted Indonesia since the fall of Suharto.
MIC 2021
This book contains the proceedings of the 1st Multidiscipline International Conference (MIC) 2021 will be an annual event hosted by Nusantara Training and Research (NTR). This year (2021), this event was held in collaboration with Nusantara Training and Research (NTR) with Universitas Borobudur Jakarta will be held on virtual conference in 30 October 2021 at Salatiga, Indonesia. We carry the theme "Improving People's Quality in Pandemic Era," trying to continue to synchronize with all aspects in the pandemic era and prepare to face the new normal, as well as future outlook of the field of Call for papers fields to be included in MIC. The scope of this event is multidisciplinary. Starting from social science, economics, education, law, engineering, religion and other sciences. This conference was attended by participants and delegates from various universities from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia, and Japan. More than 100 participants from academics, practitioners and bureaucrats took part in this event to exchange knowledge according to their research results and competencies.
Women and the State in Modern Indonesia
In the first study of the kind, Susan Blackburn examines how Indonesian women have engaged with the state since they began to organise a century ago. Voices from the women's movement resound in these pages, posing demands such as education for girls and reform of marriage laws. The state, for its part, is shown attempting to control women. The book investigates the outcomes of these mutual claims and the power of the state and the women's movement in improving women's lives. It also questions the effects on women of recent changes to the state, such as Indonesia's transition to democracy and the election of its first female president. The wider context is important. On some issues, like reproductive health, international institutions have been influential and as the largest Islamic society in the world, Indonesia offers special insights into the role of religion in shaping relations between women and the state.
