Voici les deux grandes questions qui sont au cœur de cet ouvrage consacré à la bande dessinée indépendante montréalaise contemporaine. Après avoir tracé un panorama général de la production montréalaise contemporaine de bandes dessinées, l’auteure se penche sur un corpus constitué d’albums de jeunes auteures et auteurs publiés après 2010. Les analyses s’intéressent aux stratégies mises de l’avant par les bédéistes pour représenter les divers espaces urbains montréalais ainsi qu’aux particularités – lexicales, syntaxiques et néographiques – de la langue que ces auteurs choisissent de mettre dans la bouche de leurs personnages.
