This practical guide provides a focus on the implementation of healthcare simulation operations, as well as the type of professional staff required for developing effective programs in this field. Though there is no single avenue in which a person pursues the career of a healthcare simulation technology specialist (HSTS), this book outlines the extensive knowledge and variety of skills one must cultivate to be effective in this role. This book begins with an introduction to healthcare simulation, including personnel, curriculum, and physical space. Exploring Perspectives on Creativity Theory and Research in Education

Collectively, the sixteen chapters in this book investigate the power of creativity in the classroom, many through the specific lens of limited resources as an opportunity. The chapters are divided into two sections, eight chapters comprising Section I: Theory and Research and then the eight chapters comprising Section II: Additional Perspectives and Future Directions. Within these two sections, the more than two-dozen authors that contributed to this book tackle a wide range of the possibilities for designing creative classroom-based instruction wherein limited resources are highlighted and valued, rather than avoided or lamented. The two main sections of this book are each preceded by a br...

"Lilly Martin Spencer is known in the realm of art history for her genre paintings that reflect 19th c. ideals about domesticity. However, an albeit simple portrait of a mother and child completed by the artist, it was believed, sometime around 1858 suggests there is much more to Spencer than what the historiography surrounding her advances! Dating Jane explores this painting, titled Jane Eleanor Sherman Lacey and Her Son Edward, in great detail. Through the book you will become immersed in mid 19th c. culture as it relates to death and dying. You will also uncover hidden secrets about the painting - and about Spencer's creative process - that shed light on the artist's work in postmortem portraiture!."--Back cover.
