Durante su transcurso, las ciencias sociales se han visto cautivadas, una y otra vez, por la pregunta acerca del sujeto y la subjetividad. Ya sea que esta fascinación fuera motivada por un afán de comprensión, de diferenciación, de liberación o de intervención, diversas autoras y autores se han detenido en la pregunta por el sujeto y los efectos que sus diversas composiciones provocan en la vida social. De variados movimientos intelectuales y sociales hemos aprendido que el ser humano no es neutral. Creerlo neutral y universal es, de hecho, lo que ha limitado su problematización. Los mundos tecnocientíficos pero también vergonzosamente desiguales y distópicos que vivimos, nos demandan terminar con ese inmovilismo disfrazado de neutralidad.
New Waves in Social Psychology
This book presents an update on social psychology as a disciplinary space and research field. First, it discusses the irruption of research methods from other cultural niches in the instituted academic area. Then, the second and third chapters discuss the role of Critical Psychology for community emancipation in hybrid settings and the development of Vygotsky's theory in Latin America. The fourth and fifth chapters offer some questions on contemporary legal and political culture. The sixth and seventh chapters ask how to reconceptualise the studies on Social Imaginary amd childhood. The eighth and ninth chapters present topics as performativity, cybernetic, subjectivities, and technology networks in health-related social support. El libro de Gabaldón es fiel reflejo de tantos otros que se prodigaron durante el Siglo de Oro, un siglo que cuenta con más de ciento cincuenta años, pues la opinión más extendida acerca de su duración es la que se inicia con Garcilaso en 1526 y concluye con la muerte de Calderón en 1681.
