This book focuses on the fundamentals of clinical research. It covers the basics of clinical research, biotherapeutics, stem cells and clinical database management. Although there are many paharmaceutical biotechnology books, there is a need for clinical biotechnology text books covering all these aspects. This text book is useful for UG and PG students of Biotechnology. This can encourage the students to know the basics and select their carrier in the emerging clinical biotechnology field.
Plant tissue culture is commonly used to describe the in-vitro and aseptic growth of any plant part on a nutrient medium. This technology is based on three fundamental objectives,1) The plant part or explants must be isolated from the rest of plant body,2) The explants must be maintained in controlled physically (environmental) and chemically designed (nutrient medium) conditions.3) Asepsis must be maintainedIt is required for asepsis to maintain a high degree of cleanliness in the laboratory, whether the techniques are being used for simple propagation, as a method to study genetic, metabolic or development charges in a model system, or for the creation of new plant variations via genetic engineering. There are a number of basic facilities and a minimum level of organization that should be available to the people working in the laboratory. The basic facility comprises of the following.
Through this book, the readers will learn about the different aspects of Actinobacteria- beginning with its ecology and occurrence, to the ways of its adaptation to harsh climates, and finally to its practical applications. The book also presents methods of identifying and characterizing this diverse group of bacteria through advanced techniques like MALDI-TOF, 16S rRNA analysis, etc. Different chapters describe the various biotechnological applications of Actinobacteria, including bioremediation, secondary metabolite production, and in producing antibiotics, anti-cancer therapeutics. It also provides insights into the applications in agriculture and forestry by inhibiting plant pathogenic bacteria's growth.

This book offers a comprehensive review of the multifaceted role of phytochemicals in promoting human health and combating diseases. The initial chapters introduce phytochemicals, navigate the natural health landscape, and provide a foundational understanding of these bioactive compounds. The book unfolds the role of phytochemicals as a formidable defense against oxidative stress and explores the unique health benefits and nutritional significance of phytochemicals found in fruit peels. The subsequent chapters further discuss the therapeutic potential of phytochemicals, detailing their role in combating multidrug-resistant bacterial infections and modulating critical pathways in inflammation...
Society is obsessed with categorising and treating individuals and groups according to their physical and non-physical differences, such as sex, gender, disability and race. This treatment can lead to the inclusion or exclusion of an individual from the tangible and intangible benefits of society. Where this practice becomes discriminatory, legal frameworks can protect human rights and ensure that people are treated with due respect for their similarities and differences. In a sporting context, the inclusion and exclusion of athletes based upon their differences is often a necessary part of the essence of competitive sporting activity, arranged around rules and categories that can have an un...
