The first part of the yearbook contains ten essays on Futurist art and literature in Italy, France, Russia, Poland, Portugal and the former colony of Goa. Among other things, early Futurist publishing and propaganda initiatives by means of manifestos, press releases, and newssheets are examined, as well as Athos Casarini's artistic and political work undertaken in Italy and the USA. Articles in the second part deal with the 30th anniversary of the international Academy of Zaum as well as various conferences, exhibitions and publications celebrating the centenary of Zenitism in Serbia and Croatia. Critical responses to exhibitions, conferences and publications as well as a bibliographical section with information on 139 recent book publications on Futurism conclude the yearbook.
Mirror Sand
Edited, translated, and introduced by Anatoly Kudryavitsky, this bilingual anthology presents Russian short poems of the last half-century. It showcases thirty poets from Russia, and displays a variety of works by authors who all come from different backgrounds. Some of them are well-known not only locally but also internationally due to festival appearances and translations into European languages; among them are Gennady Aigi, Gennady Alexeyev, Vladimir Aristov, Sergey Biryukov, Konstantin Kedrov, Igor Kholin, Viktor Krivulin, Vsevolod Nekrasov, Genrikh Sapgir, and Sergey Stratanovsky. The next Russian poetic generation also features prominently in the collection. Such poets as Tatyana Grauz, Dmitri Grigoriev, Alexander Makarov-Krotkov, Yuri Milorava, Asya Shneiderman and Alina Vitukhnovskaya are the ones Russians like to read today. This anthology shows Russia looking back at itself, and reveals the post-World-War Russian reality from the perspective of some of the best Russian creative minds. Here we find a poetry of dissent and of quiet observation, of fierce emotions, and of deep inner thoughts.

The two-volume set LNCS 10777 and 10778 constitutes revised selected papers from the 12th International Conference on Parallel Processing and Applied Mathematics, PPAM 2017, held in Lublin, Poland, in September 2017. Energy from the Desert
The world's deserts are sufficiently large that, in theory, covering a fraction of their landmass with PV systems could generate many times the current primary global energy supply.The Energy from the Desert two-volume set details the background and concept of Very Large Scale Photovoltaics (VLS-PC) and examines and evaluates their potential as viable power generation systems. The authors present case studies of both virtual and real projects based on selected regions (including the Mediterranean, Sahara, Chinese Gobi, Mongolian Gobi, Indian Thar, Australian Desert and the US) and their specific socio-economic dynamics, and argue that VLS-PV systems in desert areas will be readily achievable in the near future.
The Magic Phlute
Tony Kitt lives in Dublin, Ireland, although his family hails from County Mayo in the West of Ireland. A former researcher, he has, more recently, been teaching creative writing to adults. His poems appeared in many magazines and anthologies, both in Ireland and abroad. In 2003, he won the Maria Edgeworth Poetry Prize.
Tangent of Ardency
Thomas Townsley grew up in Central Pennsylvania and received his Master's Degree in English and Creative Writing from Syracuse University in 1983. Recent publications include "Reading the Empty Page" and "Night Class for Insomniacs" (Black Rabbit.) A collection of experimental Sapphic verse, "Babel's Rebuilding," is due later in 2020, also from Black Rabbit. Townsley is an English professor at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, New York.

This thirteenth volume of the International Yearbook of Futurism Studies explores some of the many facets of Neo-Futurism from the second half of the twentieth century to the present day. It looks both at the revival and the continuation of Futurist aesthetics, whether in explicit or palimpsest form, in a variety of media: literature, visual art, design, music, architecture, theatre and photography. The essays delve into the broad spectrum of artistic research and offer a good dozen case studies that document, with a transnational and interdisciplinary orientation, the manifold forms of Neo-Futurism in various parts of the world. They investigate how historical Futurism's intellectual and artistic perspective was appropriated and developed further in a more or less conscious, faithful and original way, all the while confronting its progenitor's cultural, social and political misconceptions. Invisible Insane
Afric McGlinchey is an Irish-born, multi-award-winning poet based in West Cork. Raised in several countries in Africa, she has a close affinity with that continent. Afric is a post-graduate of English Literature and film (University of Cape Town), and studied journalism at Rhodes University. Previous collections include ""The Lucky Star of Hidden Things"" and ""Ghost of the Fisher Cat"" (Salmon Poetry). Her d?but was further translated into Italian and published by L?Arcolaio. A consulting editor with The Inkwell Group and a creative writing facilitator, she also reviews for a number of journals. According to Vona Groarke, she ""...moves really beautifully between strangeness and familiarity. What's also particularly striking is the tone and register of the language and how the flow carries you along with it.""

Christopher Prewitt is a writer from Kentucky, USA. His poetry, fiction, and reviews have appeared in Iowa Review, Rattle, Vinyl Poetry, Merida Review, Ghost Ocean Magazine, Four Way Review, Inscape, SurVision and other periodicals. He was the recipient of the Virginia Tech/Poetry Society of Virginia Prize in 2010. In 2018, he won James Tate Prize for Poetry.
