The 8th Ibero-American Conference on Artificial Intelligence, IBERAMIA 2002, took place in Spain for the second time in 14 years; the first conference was organized in Barcelona in January 1988. The city of Seville hosted this 8th conference, giving the participants the opportunity of enjoying the richness of its historical and cultural atmosphere. Looking back over these 14 years, key aspects of the conference, such as its structure, organization, the quantity and quality of submissions, the publication policy, and the number of attendants, have significantly changed. The festschrifts are located in state and regional libraries and their bibliographic details are recorded. Since 1983, more than 659,000 articles from more than 30,500 festschrifts, published between 1977 and 2011, have been catalogued.

Cuban and Cuban-American Women: An Annotated Bibliography covers primary and secondary sources found in Cuba and the United States on Cuban and Cuban-American women from the period 1868 to the present. The editors have amassed primary, archival materials located in Cuba and the United States, annotated the holdings and described their locations. Secondary sources are also included and annotated. While most of the emphasis is placed on the twentieth century, significant attention is paid to women in the Wars of Independence. The book is divided into two parts.
