This book describes the function and the role of the heart for the Sufis in a literal and practical manner. For the Sufis, the heart is dwelling place of the soul, which a Sufi seeker connects to through the use of mystical rhythms. Sufism, is a spiritual path which originated during the beginning of the history of humanity. It is a living stream passing from one master to another and is connected to great prophets such as Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammad. This book through exploring the fascinating perspective of the ongoing line of mysticism and the teachings of Jesus offers convincing evidence which can lead to a new understanding of the roots of religion. This book is an introduction to the ancient Gnostic science of Heart Meditation through the use of mystical rhythms. Over the last decades scientific research has established the benefits of meditation for our minds and bodily health. However, most of the research has been focused on the effect of meditation on the mind as traditional meditation techniques concentrate primarily on the mind and its relation to the body. However, Gnostics, for thousands of years, have focused their meditation techniques on the heart because they recognise the importance of the heart as a gateway for spiritual enlightenment; as well as the role it has in creating inner balance in our minds and improving our physical health. This booklet is an introductory guide to this technique which should be practiced under the guidance of an experienced instructor.

Jesus Christ - "Soul of God" - had a "contemporary double". This "son of man" was also named Jesus. He was also born in Jerusalem around two thousand years ago, in a Jewish family. He was also a son of parents named as Mary and Joseph. He had also a brother named James. He also knew a woman known as Mary Magdalena, and a man named Judas. There were many similarities between Jesus, son of Mary, and his double. When Jesus (son of Mary) was claimed by St. John the Baptist to be "Christ", and his enemies wanted to eliminate John the Baptist and Jesus Christ, the double of Jesus decided to sacrifice his life for his master in order that his master could achieve his divine mission. The recent discovery of an old Jewish family tomb in Jerusalem fits with the explanation of an Old Persian book named Tarikh Bal'arni (Bal'ami's book of history") which discusses a second Jesus who was a contemporary of Jesus Christ and who was crucified in his place...

It focuses on the time preceding Islam and highlights the relationships that are pivotal for understanding the development of Islam. This book engages with the dynamic intersection of several domains such as philosophy, psychology, sociology, and pedagogy, in order to critically analyze and reinvent our understanding of curriculum. The chapters raise important questions such as: what are the conditions of possibility for a living curriculum in which Eros and intellect (or reason and intuition) are not separated? How is it possible to escape ideology that keeps us bound to defunct categories? What are the ingredients of an inquiry that is able to grasp curriculum as an expanding interpersonal movement? How do the teacher-learner ensemble get creatively constituted beyond obstructive dualities? How can we reinvent meaning in curriculum without totalization? Which indigenous understandings can be recovered in order to reinvent curriculum with greater relevance for diverse peoples? This volume addresses elements of reason, nonreason, becoming, dissipation, violence, uncertainty, transcendence, love, and death in order to come to a critical understanding of the relationship between knowledge and knower from these multiple perspectives.

Limits of the Secular

This book facilitates a missing dialogue between the secular and the transsecular dimensions of human existence. It explores two kinds of limits of the secular: the inadequacies of its assumptions with respect to the total being of the human, and how it curbs the ontological sensibilities of the human. Kaustuv Roy argues that since secular reason of modernity can only represent the empirical dimension of existence, humans are forced to privatize the non-empirical dimension of being. It is therefore absent from the social, imaginary, as well as public discourse. This one-sidedness is the root cause of many of the ills facing modernity. Roy contends that a bridge-consciousness that praxeologically relates the secular and the non-secular domains of experience is the need of the hour.
