Prediction of Changes
This book is intended as a detailed guide to hexagram prediction method using the ancient Chinese classic Book of Changes (Zhou Yi). This writing provides explanations of most of what is called hexagram prediction using the six lines of a hexagram. The author gives information on methods of casting a hexagram, on the use of a cast hexagram to perform a divination, on the use of six relatives, on the use of trunks and branches and on the use of roles of the lines of a hexagram.
Jade Chest of Treasure
This book is an English translation of the ancient Mongolian prediction manual called Jade Chest of Treasure (Erdeniyn Has Haircag). The book has been used in the herdsmen household on the Mongolian grassland spreading over Northeast Asia. The manual covers astrology, numerology, omenology and divina- tion as used by herdsmen of the steppes. The original was in four books which are now translated into a single volume with some omission.
Convexity and Discrete Geometry Including Graph Theory
This volume presents easy-to-understand yet surprising properties obtained using topological, geometric and graph theoretic tools in the areas covered by the Geometry Conference that took place in Mulhouse, France from September 7–11, 2014 in honour of Tudor Zamfirescu on the occasion of his 70th anniversary. Kao (Gao) was imprisoned for arranging refuge for the leader of the Kaohsiung Incident (a Roman Catholic), who turned to Kao in court and said, “You are the saint of Taiwan.” Inaction on Dr. Kao’s Declaration of Human Rights in 1977 represented perhaps the greatest missed opportunity of President Jimmy Carter’s legacy in speaking out for those without a voice. In retirement, Dad self-financed a tour of eight China mainland seminaries in Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Wuhan, Suzhou, and Guangzhou. The seminaries had shut down for decades, but not the Gospel.
Optimization, Simulation and Control
This volume gathers selected, peer-reviewed works presented at the 7th International Conference on Optimization, Simulation and Control, ICOSC 2022, held at the National University of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, June 20–22, 2022. Topics covered include (but are not limited to) mathematical programming; network, global, linear, nonlinear, parametric, stochastic, and multi-objective optimization; control theory; biomathematics; and deep and machine learning, to name a few.
