The Crossley Gallery, 1966-1980
When, in 1966, Tate Adams opened Crossley Gallery in a lane off Bourke Street, Melbourne, he ioneered the importation of contemporary Japanese prints by masters such as Munakata and Sasajima. These were shown alongside those emerging local artist printmakers including at that time Fred Williams, Roger Kemp, George Baldessin, Bea Maddock and many others. This productive collision of cultures soon established the Crossley Gallery and its associated activities - such as the Crossley Print Workshop - as the hub of activity in this art form. The book contains memoirs of those associated with the Gallery and features prints shown or commissioned by Tate Adams - a leading printmaker himself. It provides first-hand insights into a previously under-examined aspect of the development of contemporary art in Australia. Also comes as a special edition with original wood engraving by Tate Adams, special cloth binding and a slip-case.

Gdh 2000 - The Gerasimov-drell-hearn Sum Rule & The Nucleon Spin Structure In The Resonance Region
The history of spin in general, and of the nucleon spin structure in particular, has been full of surprises. For the past 25 years deep inelastic lepton scattering has been studied to determine the carriers of the nucleon spin. However, it was realized only recently that a full understanding of the nucleon spin will also require detailed information on the helicity structure in the resonance region, i.e. in the realm of nonperturbative QCD.This volume gives a status report on the spin structure in the nucleon resonance region, focusing on: new experimental results from SLAC and HERMES; a first glance at the JLab experiments to map out the spin structure functions at low and intermediate four-momentum transfers; the pioneering experiment at MAMI (Mainz) to determine the Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rule for real photons; and recent theoretical concepts and investigations to describe the spin structure in the frameworks of higher twist expansion, phenomenological models and chiral perturbation theory.

The two-volume set LNCS 10893 and 10894 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference EuroHaptics 2018, held in Pisa, Italy, in June 2018. The 95 papers (40 oral presentations and 554 poster presentations) presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 138 submissions. These proceedings reflect the multidisciplinary nature of EuroHaptics and cover all aspects of haptics, including neuroscience, psychophysics, perception, engineering, computing, interaction, virtual reality and arts.
