Sandy Skoglund. Catalogo Della Mostra (Torino, 24 Gennaio-24 Marzo 2019). Ediz. Illustrata
Jersey City-based photographer and installation artist Sandy Skoglund (born 1946) constructs sets featuring handmade sculptures and human characters, achieving the idea of a total work of art. In this way, her works are at once installations, sculptures, collages and, finally, photographs. Edited by the great Italian curator Germano Celant, this comprehensive monograph, comprised of more than 400 images, compiles Skoglund's photography, a discipline she broached in the 1970s, while in New York, in order to document her work. Ranging from the earliest photographic series of the mid '70s (which already feature the characteristic themes of the domestic setting and its transformation into a place of apparitions between the comical and the unsettling) to previously unpublished photographs that the photographer has recently created. Also included are specimens of the strange creatures that inhabit her photographs, the colorful sculptures of foxes, fish and other animals that play as foils to the otherwise everyday scenes of her tableaux.

This handbook has two purposes: it is intended (1) as a handbook of Etruscology or Etruscan Studies, offering a state-of-the-art and comprehensive overview of the history of the discipline and its development, and (2) it serves as an authoritative reference work representing the current state of knowledge on Etruscan civilization. KAWS
This catalogue documents the first exhibition in the Middle East by KAWS (Brian Donnelly, born 1974, USA). The solo show explores his career and vast oeuvre and features paintings and sculptures made over the past 20 years.0KAWS' imagery has long possessed a sophisticated, dark humour, revealing the interplay between art and consumerism, referencing both art history and pop culture. Donnelly began his career in street art in the 1990s, becoming synonymous with the name KAWS, a tag that became a staple in his 'sub-vertisments' (modifications of commercial works).0In addition to more than 40 major pieces exhibited in the Garage Gallery, examples of commercial collaborations designed by KAWS, among them sneakers, skateboards, and toys are on view in a separate archive above Cafe 999. Bellotto and Canaletto
This book reveals the extraordinary artistic relationship between Canaletto (Venice 1697?1768) and Bernardo Bellotto (Venice 1722?Warsaw 1780): from the speed with which the exceptional young nephew learned from the teachings of his uncle? leading him to become his alter ego in works for English collectors? to the end of their direct relationship, with Canaletto in London and Bellotto in European capitals such as Dresden and Warsaw.
