O livro investiga o processo de escolarização no município de Mandaguari, Paraná, abrangendo o período de 1949 a 1988. Este estudo histórico se inicia com a promulgação do Decreto n.o 9.137/1950, que autorizou a criação do Ginásio Estadual de Mandaguari, até o encerramento das atividades do Complexo Escolar Professora Hilda de Oliveira, em 1988. Fundamentado no método materialista histórico, o trabalho permitiu a organização de um vasto conjunto de fontes históricas, incluindo documentos, imagens e depoimentos de sujeitos envolvidos no processo de escolarização mandaguariense. Além de contribuir significativamente para a história da educação em Mandaguari, o estudo oferece uma base sólida para pesquisadores interessados em aprofundar o entendimento sobre o processo educacional e histórico no norte do Paraná.

That Winter
Pamela Gillilan was born in London in 1918, married in 1948 and moved to Cornwall in 1951. When she sat down to write her poem Come Away after the death of her husband David, she had written no poems for a quarter of a century. Then came a sequence of incredibly moving elegies. Other poems followed, and two years after starting to write again, she won the Cheltenham Festival poetry competition. Her first collection That Winter (Bloodaxe, 1986) was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Poetry Prize.
