This superbly illustrated book examines all aspects of the use of modern post-mortem imaging in forensic investigations, which has flourished since the introduction of multidetector computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Readers will find guidance on the applications of all relevant imaging modalities and contrast media. Analogies and differences between forensic and clinical imaging are highlighted, and it is explained what lessons forensic imaging holds for clinical radiology, and vice versa. The remainder of the book comprehensively documents the typical “normal” post-mortem findings and the imaging presentations in various forms of trauma and nontraumatic forensic cases, including those in which medical liability may be an issue. The authors are radiologists and forensic radiologists from across the world who have extensive experience in post-mortem imaging. The book is primarily intended for forensic pathologists, radiologists, and radiographers seeking practical information on forensic imaging, but it will also be of interest to others, such as lawyers, who encounter this specialty during their professional activities.
Movements of the Mind is about what it is to be an agent. Focusing on mental agency, it integrates multiple approaches, from philosophical analysis of the metaphysics of agency to the activity of neurons in the brain. Philosophical and empirical work are combined to generate concrete explanations of key features of the mind. The book should be relevant and accessible to philosophers and scientists interested in mind and agency. Wu argues that actions have a core psychological structure where attention plays a necessary role in guiding the agent's response and intentions function as memory for work, a practical memory. Attention and memory are accordingly central parts of an agent's intention...

This book focuses on with musculoskeletal imaging: during the last few years, there have been considerable advances in this area, driven by clinical as well as technological developments. The authors, internationally renowned experts in their field, have contributed chapters that are disease-oriented and cover all relevant imaging modalities, including magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and positron emission tomography. As a result, this book offers a comprehensive review of the state of the art in musculoskeletal imaging. It is a valuable resource for general radiologists, radiology residents, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, and clinicians from other specialities wishing to update their knowledge in this discipline.
Achieve the most accurate imaging diagnosis for pediatric radiology. Differential Diagnosis in Pediatric Imaging offers the most up-to-date knowledge of pediatric imaging diagnostic techniques. It provides imagers, clinicians and their trainees with simple methods to evaluate both frequently and rarely seen diseases and disorders, and suggests differential diagnoses fully taking into account clinical findings. In addition, the text provides how-to tips for identifying normal images - saving time and helping to avoid common misinterpretations. Readers are guided through a comprehensive, easy-to-navigate radiological library of pediatric disorders, which are divided by organ system. Sections i...
