Italia, Portogallo, Brasile: un incontro di storia, lingua e letteratura attraverso i secoli
I contributi riuniti nel volume, presentati per la prima volta in occasione del I Convegno dell'AISPEB (Associazione di Studi Portoghesi e Brasiliani), tenutosi nel 2012 presso le sedi dell'Università di Roma “La Sapienza” e dell'Università di Roma Tre, offrono un panorama di temi, linguistici e letterari, legati sia al contesto portoghese che a quello brasiliano. I saggi d’argomento letterario rinnovano il contributo italiano allo studio della letteratura luso-brasiliana, rimanendo nel solco di una tradizione nazionale ricca di spunti, che ha visto arrivare proprio dall’Italia alcuni contributi storici, filologici ed ermeneutici tuttora indispensabili per comprendere l’opera dei maggiori autori di lingua portoghese. I saggi di argomento linguistico sintetizzano invece alcuni dei risultati prodotti dalle cattedre di lingua, di recente istituzione in Italia, privilegiando in particolar modo tematiche legate al binomio lingua-traduzione.
Archeologia e Calcolatori, Supplemento 6, 2014. ARCHEOSEMA. Artificial Adaptive Systems for the Analysis of Complex Phenomena. Collected Papers in Honour of David Leonard Clarke
ARCHEOSEMA, a meta-disciplinary project of theoretical, analytical and experimental archaeology, has been recently awarded by La Sapienza University of Rome. The project title is an acronym which sums up its two main theoretical foundations: the openness of modern archaeology (ARCHEO) to the analysis of physical, historical, linguistic signs (SEMA) underlying natural and cultural systems reconstructed and simulated through Artificial Sciences. This volume edited by Marco Ramazzotti, a Supplement to «Archeologia e Calcolatori», is a Special Issue dedicated to the memory of the English archaeologist David Leonard Clarke (1937-1976), and is a further attempt to collect some applicative studies of complex natural and cultural phenomena following the Artificial Intelligence computational models through the lens of Analytical Archaeology.
Manual of Romance Languages in Africa
With more than two thousand languages spread over its territory, multilingualism is a common reality in Africa. The main official languages of most African countries are Indo-European, in many instances Romance. As they were primarily brought to Africa in the era of colonization, the areas discussed in this volume are thirty-five states that were once ruled by Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, or Spain, and the African regions still belonging to three of them. Twenty-six states are presented in relation to French, four to Italian, six to Portuguese, and two to Spanish. They are considered in separate chapters according to their sociolinguistic situation, linguistic history, external language policy, linguistic characteristics, and internal language policy. The result is a comprehensive overview of the Romance languages in modern-day Africa. It follows a coherent structure, offers linguistic and sociolinguistic information, and illustrates language contact situations, power relations, as well as the cross-fertilization and mutual enrichment emerging from the interplay of languages and cultures in Africa.

Riscritture d’autore
Il volume riunisce sette saggi dedicati a casi esemplari di filologia d’autore contemporanea, in cui si analizzano opere sottoposte ad un profondo processo di riscrittura, tale da modificarne non solo forma e struttura, ma spesso anche intenti, finalità e valore complessivo. Nel profondo lavorio che accompagna le opere di Gadda, Fenoglio, Joyce, Yourcenar, Arenas, Cardoso Pires e de Melo è possibile riscontrare non solo mutamenti di ideale estetico, ma anche reazioni a mutamenti di contesto, elementi utili a spiegare la presenza di varianti talmente profonde da far prefigurare una vera e propria riscrittura “totale”. L’obiettivo del volume è quello di fornire una prima casistica del processo di riscrittura, con finalità non solo genetiche, ma soprattutto critico-interpretative. A fianco e al di là dei casi specifici, tutti di grandissimo interesse, le analisi presentate forniscono indizi relativi a questioni fondamentali, quali i rapporti tra forma e contenuto, testo e contesto, autore e opera, i confini esistenti tra opere diverse o il significato stesso del concetto di volontà d’autore e di versione “definitiva” di un’opera.
Lingue romanze in Africa
Il volume prende spunto da una giornata di studi che ha avuto luogo presso Sapienza, Università di Roma nel maggio 2019. Riunisce specialisti di vari paesi, e parte dalla constatazione che gli studiosi che operano nelle varie aree della Romania africana (francese, portoghese e spagnola) soffrono di un eccessivo ed ingiustificato isolamento rispetto alle sfide complessive che il tema delle lingue romanze in Africa invece obbliga ad affrontare. Proprio in quest’ottica, il volume vuole favorire lo sviluppo di ricerche e analisi sempre più integrate e meno parcellizzate, a beneficio di una comprensione globale di fenomeni linguistici e sociali che condividono spazi e tempi di amplissima portata.

Il presente volume si ricollega agli atti della Prima Giornata di Linguistica Contrastiva "Lingue europee a confronto" (Sapienza Università Editrice, 2016) e raccoglie contributi incentrati su varie lingue europee: italiano, tedesco, spagnolo, portoghese, francese, russo, polacco. Tematicamente il volume ruota intorno al verbo, categoria che riveste un ruolo centrale nella costruzione della frase e del testo.
