Civilizing the Margins
Discusses the programs, policies, and laws that affect ethnic minorities in eight countries: Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. Once targeted for intervention, people such as the Orang Asli of Malaysia and the "hill tribes" of Thailand often become the subject of programs aimed at radically changing their lifestyles, which the government views as backward or primitive. Several chapters highlight the tragic consequences of forced resettlement, a common result of these programs.
Between Consolidation and Crisis
Between Consolidation and Crisis focuses on five countries in Southeast Asia to examine how their elections have been conducted in the past two years, their domestic implications, and how the elections have differed from one another and from elections in other parts of Asia. Case studies on Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand provide an overall understanding of the impact of elections on the consolidation or crisis of new democratic and semi-democratic polities in the region of Southeast Asia.

MIC 2023
This book contains the proceedings of the 3rd Multidisciplinary International Conference (MIC) 2023, an annual event hosted by Nusantara Training and Research (NTR). This event was held in collaboration with Nusantara Training and Research (NTR) with Borobudur University, Jakarta. It was held on a virtual conference on 28 October 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The theme of this year's conference was "Scientific Innovation in The Digital Age" which aimed to explore the latest technological advancements and their implications in various scientific fields, including social science, economics, education, law, engineering, religion, and other sciences. This conference was attended by participants and delegates from various universities from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Australia, and Japan. More than 100 participants from academics, practitioners, and bureaucrats took part in this event to exchange knowledge according to their research results and competencies.
