Mimarlara Mektup 2015 yılı 191-202 sayıları
The last thirty years of intellectual and artistic creativity in the 20th century have been marked by gender issues. Translation practice, translation theory and translation criticism have also been powerfully affected by the focus on gender. As a result of feminist praxis and criticism and the simultaneous emphasis on culture in translation studies, translation has become an important site for the exploration of the cultural impact of gender and the gender-specific influence of cuture. With the dismantling of 'universal' meaning and the struggle for women's visibility in feminist work, and with the interest in translation as a visible factor in cultural exchange, the linking of gender and t...

Feminist Translation Studies: Local and Transnational Perspectives situates feminist translation as political activism. Chapters highlight the multiple agendas and visions of feminist translation and the different political voices and cultural heritages through which it speaks across times and places, addressing the question of how both literary and nonliterary discourses migrate and contribute to local and transnational processes of feminist knowledge building and political activism. This collection does not pursue a narrow, fixed definition of feminism that is based solely on (Eurocentric or West-centric) gender politics—rather, Feminist Translation Studies: Local and Transnational Persp...
Mesnevi nazım şekli, Türk edebiyatı sahasında Kutadgu Bilig’le bilinen ilk seçkin örneğini ortaya koyduktan sonra yüzyıllarca muhtelif tema ve yaklaşımları ele alan eserlerin yapılandırılmasında kullanılagelmiştir. Bu nazım şeklinin, beyit sayısında herhangi bir kısıtlayıcı kurala bağlı olmaması ve beyitleri arasında kafiye bağlantısı bulunmaması yönleriyle, özellikle uzun soluklu kurgusal anlatımları, bilgilendirme ve yönlendirme amaçlı söyleyişleri manzume kalıbıyla takdim noktasında hemen her dönemde tercih edildiğini söylemek yerinde olur (Ünver 1986: 432). İsmail Ünver, yazılış amaçlarına göre mesnevileri dört gruba ayırmakt...

Food powders are an increasingly important aspect of processed food worldwide. Essential factors such as ease of storage and transport and usage convenience have greatly benefited the food industry and promise further advancements in processing techniques. Food powders can be stored for a longer period of time than other food products, making them essential for food supply in many regions of the world. There have been numerous research works on food powders properties and characterization, but there has not been an updated comprehensive review in this field. Food Powders Properties and Characterization is designed as an essential reference for individuals in the food industry and academia seeking a singular source that covers most of the basic aspects of food powders. With chapters focusing on the general properties of food powders, characterization of particle and bulk properties, adhesion and surface properties, this text presents comprehensive and fully up to date coverage of this challenging and important field.
This open access book asks whether cash-transfer programs for very low-income households promote social and economic citizenship and, if so, under what conditions. To this end, it brings together elements that are too often considered separately: the transformation of social and economic citizenship rights in a market-centered context, and the increasing popularity of cash transfer as an instrument both of social policy and humanitarian action. We link these by juxtaposing theoretical treatment of citizenship and inclusion with concrete policy case studies set in contemporary Turkey. Cases are taken both from domestic social policy and international relief efforts aimed at Syrian refugees. Theoretical discussion and case studies lead to the conclusion that cash transfer programs can promote economic and social inclusion – if deployed at an appropriate scale; if sufficient financial, technical, and social resources are available; and if program design and implementation promotes market inclusion of beneficiaries both as consumers and workers.
