During the last few years, software evolution research has explored new domains such as the study of socio-technical aspects and collaboration between different individuals contributing to a software system, the use of search-based techniques and meta-heuristics, the mining of unstructured software repositories, the evolution of software requirements, and the dynamic adaptation of software systems at runtime. Also more and more attention is being paid to the evolution of collections of inter-related and inter-dependent software projects, be it in the form of web systems, software product families, software ecosystems or systems of systems. With this book, the editors present insightful contr...
This study draws on a wide base of primary sources for Korea and Japan and introduces the problems that animate modern scholarship in both countries.
The choice of examples used in this text clearly illustrate its use for a one-year graduate course. The material to be presented in the classroom constitutes a little more than half the text, while the rest of the text provides background, offers different routes that could be pursued in the classroom, as well as additional material that is appropriate for self-study. Of particular interest is a presentation of the major central limit theorems via Steins method either prior to or alternative to a characteristic function presentation. Additionally, there is considerable emphasis placed on the quantile function as well as the distribution function, with both the bootstrap and trimming presented. The section on martingales covers censored data martingales.

Chun Li must try to figure out why Lori would commit suicide just after defeating Bison's horde of minions. Also Ryu realises his dream was more than just a rough night's sleep. Meanwhile in the parallel world, Akuma and Mr Karate enter the other-worldly SVC Tournament.
This work looks at the creative challenges of designing sprites and icons for mobile phones, portable games platforms and computers. It also explores how the limits of designing for small screens are the inspiration for vibrant and colourful art.
This volume is a collection of papers presented at the international conference on Nonlinear Mathematics for Uncertainty and Its Applications (NLMUA2011), held at Beijing University of Technology during the week of September 7--9, 2011. The conference brought together leading researchers and practitioners involved with all aspects of nonlinear mathematics for uncertainty and its applications. Over the last fifty years there have been many attempts in extending the theory of classical probability and statistical models to the generalized one which can cope with problems of inference and decision making when the model-related information is scarce, vague, ambiguous, or incomplete. Such attempt...
There exists a limbo realm where the cost of admission is death! Here a new battlefield is populated by the most powerful and fearsome martial artists the world has ever known. Time holds little importance as fighters from many eras and periods of history share the same timeline. From the hit video game series SNK vs. Capcom comes an exciting martial arts event. Capcom's most popular fighting game characters face off against SNK's legendary masters. All your favorite characters are here: Vega, Mai Shiranui, Dimitri - the Vampire, Chun Li, Guile, Akuma, the mysterious Mr. Karate, and others have all gathered for reasons yet to be revealed. Witness explosive battles between Ryu and Kyo Kusanagi, Terry Bogard vs. M. Bison, Iori vs. Balrog and many more seemingly unlikely match-ups. Some fight for glory, some for survival, while others keep secret a more sinister purpose.
&Quot; In this book, author Venkat Subramaniam documents and explains 75 pitfalls, or gotchas, that can trip up even the most experienced C# or VB.NET programmer. Many of these are mental, the inevitable result of expectations programmers bring from other environments; others are oddities of the .NET languages, compilers, or the Framework itself.". "Each gotcha is fully explained, and VB.NET and C# code examples are used to reveal how false assumptions can often lead to unexpected results. Complete solutions show you how to avoid the most common mistakes, and concise "In a Nutshell" summaries and "See Also" references round out each discussion."--BOOK JACKET.
This book covers a wide range of problems involving the applications of stochastic processes, stochastic calculus, large deviation theory, group representation theory and quantum statistics to diverse fields in dynamical systems, electromagnetics, statistical signal processing, quantum information theory, quantum neural network theory, quantum filtering theory, quantum electrodynamics, quantum general relativity, string theory, problems in biology and classical and quantum fluid dynamics. The selection of the problems has been based on courses taught by the author to undergraduates and postgraduates in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
