This open access edited volume provides theoretical, practical, and historical perspectives on art and education in a post-digital, post-internet era. Recently, these terms have been attached to artworks, artists, exhibitions, and educational practices that deal with the relationships between online and offline, digital and physical, and material and immaterial. By taking the current socio-technological conditions of the post-digital and the post-internet seriously, contributors challenge fixed narratives and field-specific ownership of these terms, as well as explore their potential and possible shortcomings when discussing art and education. Chapters also recognize historical forebears of digital art and education while critically assessing art, media, and other realms of engagement. This book encourages readers to explore what kind of educational futures might a post-digital, post-internet era engender.
What steps are needed to make life better and more convivial? The Second Convivialist Manifesto (2020) has presented a short diagnosis of the current crises and sketches of a possible and desirable future. It has been a necessary work of theoretical synthesis, but preserving a viable world also requires passion. It is thus urgent to show what people would gain from a shift to a post-neoliberal and post-growth convivialist future. This volume includes a theoretical debate on convivialism which reflects dystopias and shows the multiple and major obstacles that convivialism will have to face. Handlungsräume für die Kunstvermittlung mit digitalen Medien am Beispiel von didae.eu Dieses Heft nimmt die Online-Plattform didae.eu als Ausgangspunkt, um den Einsatz digitaler Medien in Lehre, Kunst und gestalterischer Praxis thematisch und diskursiv einzuordnen. Dabei beschreibt es Handlungsräume für den Gestaltungsunterricht mit digitalen Werkzeugen. DIDAE steht als Akronym für Digital Didactics in Art Education, basierend auf dem gleichnamigen ERASMUS+ Forschungsprojekt (2021-2023). Dieses wurde von der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien geleitet und widmete sich in Zusammenarbeit mit der Hochschule der Künste Bern, der Moholy-Nagy-Universität für Kunst und Design Budapest, der Universität zu Köln und der Willem de Kooning Akademie Rotterdam Fragen nach der gegenwärtigen und zukünftigen digitalen didaktischen Praxis nach der Zäsur durch die COVID-19 Pandemie.
