During Mac DeMarco's European Tour in the fall 2017 Stefan Marx joined the band for a few stops to draw on stage during Mac DeMarco's live performance. Hiding in the back of the band, he got time to capture a unique view on the five musicians, the whole performance, some behind the scenes moments and the audience. This artist book contains most of the drawings from these concerts and is compiled by Stefan Marx, it is his 26th publication with Nieves.00Stefan Marx is a Berlin based artist. Whimsical notebooks/artist's books designed by the beloved German draftsman German artist Stefan Marx (born 1979) draws a great deal on a variety of grounds: large and small, colored or white paper; on cardboard, porcelain, skateboards or textiles. He also always likes to draw in small notebooks. He takes them everywhere, because they are convenient, lightweight and are the right size for any idea. Now, Marx has developed versions of his ideal notebooks, with four different covers and surprising drawings here and there on the inside pages. Chance determines the notebook each customer receives. These unique notebooks/artist's books contain 144 blank pages perfect for lively drawings of the family dog, friendly caricatures of vegetables and fan art of a favorite rock star.
I Guess I Shouldn't be Telling You
Stefan Marx is an actor of the skateboard scene, whose drawings usually adorn productions of his label 'The Lousy Livincompany'. I'm Starting to Feel Okay
This 32-page artist's book by the young Hamburg-based artist and designer, Stefan Marx, features loose, sometimes dark and always savvy line drawings of things like a sunny-side-up egg, a woman's ear with a big hoop earring and a muscular bird above the caption "Strong men or losers like me." There are bright gouachey graphic works like a set of complementary two-toned human skulls and a Raymond Pettibon-esque hanging globe/disco ball/wrecking ball that bring to mind the limited edition T-shirts Marx designs for his "Lousy Livin' Company." Marx has created T-shirts and board graphics for Hessenmob and Cleptomanix Skateboards and has contributed artwork to skate and street culture exhibitions worldwide.
