Kant's System of Perspectives
Here, Stephen R. Palmquist attempts to revolutionise Kant scholarship by demonstrating the high degree of systematic coherence and consistency in Kant's entire philosophical project. By using the principle of perspective as a technical tool, Palmquist reveals the theories in Kant's critical works to be the architectonic elaboration of a single idea. Palmquist asserts that Kant's system cannot be properly interpeted without understanding its essentially constructive, theocentric orientation and its systematic character. Thus, the unity which the author discusses replaces the typical interpretation of Kant's theology and philosophy of religion as an austere, deistic agnosticism and moral reductionism with a richer, more practical framework for theological thinking.

Andrew Cutrofello's book performs a psychoanalytic inversion of transcendental philosophy, taking Kant's synthetic a prior judgments and reading them in terms of a foreclosed Kantian category--that of the analytic a posteriori. Working primarily out of Freudian and Lacanian problematics, Cutrofello not only subjects Kantian thought to psychoanalytic questioning, but also develops a systematic critique of metapsychology itself, disclosing and assessing its own paralogisms, antinomies, ideal, and ethics. This is a provocative reflection on the tensions between the Enlightenment project of critique and psychoanalytic theory.
Kant and Theology at the Boundaries of Reason
This book examines the transcendental dimension of Kant's philosophy as a positive resource for theology. Firestone shows that Kant's philosophy establishes three distinct grounds for transcendental theology and then evaluates the form and content of theology that emerges when Christian theologians adopt these grounds. To understand Kant's philosophy as a completed process, Firestone argues, theologians must go beyond the strictures of Kant's critical philosophy proper and consider in its fullness the transcendental significance of what Kant calls 'rational religious faith'. This movement takes us into the promising but highly treacherous waters of Kant's Religion within the Boundaries of Mere Reason to understand theology at the transcendental bounds of reason.
