From somewhere to here is a collection of my second 50 poems, my writing journey started after I became redundant from my job as a post person in March 2016. There is a wide range of topics that I have tried to cover, these still include some sports poems and some on mental health, but I have started to branch out and put a pen to paper whenever the urge strikes. When I decided on making my own poetry book, to which I mean from writing, printing then putting it all together to make a small collection, I also thought, after reading so many different types of poetry books. Just like taking lifeƕs many routes and paths, so will my poetry books and if you are, mad enough to become a fan, you will take on my journeys. This collection starts where my first collection finished, so from May 2017 to October 2017, I managed to write these fifty poems. If you were mad enough to follow my poetic journey, the first fifty took me over a year to put together, whilst this second fifty took half the time.

Drabalicious is a collection of 25 short stories that you can read anywhere anytime, on the tube, riding on a bus or even in a car... as long as you are not driving! Most of these fictional fables are under 350 words, yea I might have crammed some longer ones in there, but that is just to keep your attention span at its utmost prime. We start with the stories and then I will follow that with some of the reasoning behind what made such tales, some might not be what you first imagined them to be. With some of these stories, I have added some facts that I have found out along the way into doing some research for these small tales.

Eight Steps To Happiness

Is happiness really all in the mind? Why are some people always happy while others seem doomed to a life of misery? Is it love, money, looks or genes? Scientists have discovered that happiness isn't just a fleeting emotion or a quality that some fortunate people are born with. Happiness is a skill that can be cultivated, and the positive effects can be seen in our brains, bloodstreams and behaviour. Eight Steps to Happiness is a practical, scientific guide to becoming a happier person in just eight weeks. The exercises and activities in Eight Steps are simple but profoundly effective and scientifically proven. As the eight volunteers in the ABC TV series Making Australia Happy have shown, Eight Steps leads to measurable physiological changes, from improved immune function to better sleep and increased physical strength. The Eight Steps to Happiness program gives you no-nonsense tools to make real change in your life. Using these techniques, you too can be on the road to a happier, healthier and more fulfilled life. And be warned: happiness is contagious!

Here for the Hearing

This book offers a series of essays that show the integrated role that musical structure (including harmony, melody, rhythm, meter, form, and musical association) plays in making sense of what transpires onstage in musicals. Written by a group of music analysts who care deeply about musical theater, this collection provides new understanding of how musicals are put together, how composers and lyricists structure words and music to complement one another, and how music helps us understand the human relationships and historical and social contexts. Using a wide range of musical examples, representing the history of musical theater from the 1920s to the present day, the book explores how music interacts with dramatic elements within individual shows and other pieces within and outside of the genre. These essays invite readers to consider issues that are fundamental both to our understanding of musical theater and to the multiple ways we engage with music.

Music Theory Through Musical Theatre

Music Theory through Musical Theatre takes a new and powerful approach to music theory. Written specifically for students in music theatre programs, it offers music theory by way of musical theatre. Not a traditional music theory text, Music Theory through Musical Theatre tackles the theoretical foundations of musical theatre and musical theatre literature with an emphasis on what students will need to master in preparation for a professional career as a performer. Veteran music theatre musician John Franceschina brings his years of experience to bear in a book that offers musical theatre educators an important tool in equipping students with what is perhaps the most important element of bei...
