Esta obra, intitulada “Tecnologias, linguagens e práticas educativas: diálogos com a Educação Básica”, é constituída por uma proposta de diálogos. Aqui, discentes, egressos e docentes de graduação e de pós-graduação, docentes de educação básica e técnicos educacionais buscam ocupar uma posição de sujeito no contexto social, a partir do registro de posicionamentos, de seus percursos, de suas histórias. Conceder aos diferentes sujeitos - alunos e professores - a oportunidade de publicar um texto acadêmico é criar espaços de formação docente em uma perspectiva do diálogo consigo mesmo e com os outros, sejam eles autores das obras lidas, sejam eles parceiros de escrita, sejam eles potenciais leitores. Nesse sentido, este livro representa, não somente a culminância de momentos de estudos, de discussões e de vivências, mas, sobretudo, de experimentação de elaboração própria, enfim, de descobertas e de sistematização de saberes.

The Inter-American System of Human Rights
This book, which can be used as a text for teaching purposes, gives a fascinating, and authoritative treatment both the rights protected by the Inter-American system and of the way in which its institutions work. An important part of the book is a thorough, article by article account of the guarantee in the American Declaration of the Rights and Duties of Man and in the American Convention on Human Rights of civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights in the light of the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, and of the Commission's many country reports on the human rights situation in particular states. There are also chapters on the rights of indigenous peoples, amnesty laws and states of emergencies. The evolution and current methods of work of the Commission and the Court are set out at length and their achievements are critically assessed. The role of non-governmental organisations is also examined in this context. Sixteen artists from 9 countries created works of art inspired by ecology and the environment that were specifically developed for the exhibition, in dialogue with the MAMBO curatorial team. Most of the artistic projects were specially commissioned for the 32nd São Paulo Biennial. "Incerteza viva is a collective process that began in early 2015 and brings together teachers, students, artists, activists, educators, scientists and thinkers in Brazil, Colombia and other places." --Page [1].
Gender, Women, and the Tobacco Epidemic
This publication contributes to the scientific understanding of gender, women, and tobacco in the context of efforts to control the global tobacco epidemic. Topics covered include determinants of starting to use tobacco; exposure to second-hand smoke; the impact that tobacco use has on health; addiction and cessation; treatment programs; and gender and human rights policy. The publication also addresses national economic policy with regard to tobacco control, international treaties, and strategies for tobacco-free mobilization at the regional and international levels. Special attention is paid to an analysis of policies that affect girls and women throughout the life course.
