The Life of the Victorious Buddha
The Life of the Victorious Buddha is a retelling in simple and poetic language of the story of the Bodhisatta's fulfilling of the Perfections, Quest for Awakening: and the Establishing of the religion by the Buddha of our age. The poem was written in Sri Lanka by Ven Medhankara in the 13th century when Buddhist culture was undergoing a renaissance and is a vibrant retelling of the traditional story presented in such works as the introduction to the Jataka Stories. In short and evocative chapters, the main outline of the story is presented, bringing the epic journey through space and time to life in a memorable fashion that is suitable for inspiring and informing older children and adults alike. The poem has been translated into clear and simple language, which maintains the beauty of the original Pali while making the work accessible to the English-speaking world. 比库巴帝摩卡
本书的主要内容为南传上座部佛教(Theravāda)的律本母(Mātikā)——《比库巴帝摩卡》，这是所有上座部比库皆应当认真学习与谨慎持守的。本书共分为三个部分，第一部分是《比库巴帝摩卡序论》。本序论主要是从巴利律藏、律注等经典中摘译出与《比库巴帝摩卡》有关的各种释义，以及巴帝摩卡的制定、内容，僧团诵戒的时间、地点、程序等，作为《比库巴帝摩卡》的导读。第二部分是《比库巴帝摩卡》正文，也是本书的主体。当然，本篇只是作为律本母《比库巴帝摩卡》的巴汉对译，翻译的主要目的是作为比库们平时学习和读诵（背诵）之用。至于希望了解每条学处的制定因缘、文句解释、犯例举要、违犯条件、犯与不犯者，以及希望将戒律的行持落实到日常的修行生活中者，还必须进一步学习和研究巴利语《律藏》及其义注与复注。第三部分是《比库常用巴利作持文》，提供给比库们在日常生活中持律时使用的念诵文。 （此书印刷于新加坡帕奥禅修中心，一个属于南传上座部佛教的中心）
