Penyehatan Udara
Penyehatan udara merupakan salah satu upaya didalam mengelola pencemaran udara, agar kita memperoleh emisi yang memenuhi syarat, hal ini berhubungan erat dengan Teori Simpul, yang sesuai dengan kompetensi tenaga kesehatan lingkungan/sanitarian, yang mengutamakan pencegahan penyakit. Ada 4 (empat) simpul yang tedapat pada Teori Simpul, yaitu: 1. Sumber pencemaran, 2. Lingkungan, 3. Manusia, dan 4. Dampak tehadap manusia (Sakit, Cacat, Mati, atau Sembuh), diantara simpul pertama, dan kedua, terdapat Tirai Sanitasi (sanitation barrier) yang berfungsi untuk mencegah agar Sumber pencemaran (emisi) tidak mencemari lingkungan udara.

Saponin adalah suatu glikolisa yang mungkin ada pada banyak macam tanaman. Saponin ada pada seluruh tanaman dengan konsentrasi tinggi pada bagian-bagian tertentu, dan dipengaruhi oleh veriatas tanaman dan tahap pertumbuhan. Secara fisik dilakukan dengan eksklusi atau struktur kedap tikus untuk mencegah tikus dapat masuk ke dalam bangunan antara lain dengan menutup semua akses keluar- masuk tikus (celah, lubang) pada bangunan, mengeliminasi sarang atau tempat persembunyian tikus serta memangkas ranting pohon yang menjulur ke bagunan, tidak membuat taman terlalu dekat dengan struktur bangunan.
