A Frequency Dictionary of Dutch is a valuable tool for all learners of Dutch, providing a list of the 5,000 most frequently used words in the language. Based on a 290 million word corpus which includes both written and spoken material from a wide range of sources, this dictionary presents Dutch core vocabulary in a detailed and clearly arranged manner: each of the 5,000 entries includes English equivalents and a sample sentence showing language in use. Dental Practice in Europe at the End of the 18th Century
Here is presented for the first time an overview of dental practice and the providers of dental treatment at the close of the eighteenth century in some of the major countries of western Europe and further afield. It draws on previously under-explored primary sources, rigorously referenced, and enables comparison of and contrast within the emergent specialty in rapidly-changing social and political environments. The overall picture challenges conventional wisdom and will be of interest to social as well as to dental and medical historians.

The volume discusses the breadth of applications for an extended notion of paradigm. Paradigms in this sense are not only tools of morphological description but constitute the inherent structure of grammar. Grammatical paradigms are structural sets forming holistic, semiotic structures with an informational value of their own. We argue that as such, paradigms are a part of speaker knowledge and provide necessary structuring for grammaticalization processes.
