Tämä sukututkimus tarkastelee erään peräpohjalaisen Holck-suvun historiaa. Suvun kantavanhemmat ovat Rovaniemen Karvon ruodun ruotusotilas Johan Johansson Holck ja Brita Mattsdottter Niemi. Tutkimuksessa on selvitetty Johan Holckin syntyperä, joka on askarruttanut useita sukututkijoita vuosikymmenten ajan. Holck-nimi säilyi osalla Johanin ja Britan jälkeläisistä, mutta avioliittojen kautta ja sukunimien suomentamisen seurauksena Holck-sukuun kuuluvat myös Rovaniemen ja Tervolan Pallari- ja Hakoköngäs-suvut, Tervolan Kaiharju-suku sekä Oulujoen Hela-suku.
