Spektroskopi Plasma Laser: Prinsip dan Aplikasi
Buku ini mengulas spektroskopi plasma laser (laser induced breakdown spectroscopy, LIBS) yang merupakan sebuah teknik baru yang sekarang sedang berkembang sangat pesat (emerging analytical tool) dan dijuluki sebagai bintang super masa depan (future super star). LIBS sekarang sedang dalam masa menuju menjadi sebuah teknik analitik yang mapan. Buku ini mengulas secara umum pengertian dan prinsip dasar spektroskopi plasma laser, sejarah singkat kelahiran LIBS, dan kelebihan-kelebihannya. Pada bagian kedua, buku ini menguraikan mekanisme fisika pembangkitan plasma dari sampel gas dan sampel padat, membahas beberapa eksperimen untuk mempelajari mekanisme pembangkitan plasma dengan berkas laser berenergi tinggi. Pada bagian akhir buku ini dipaparkan beberapa eksperimen penerapan khas LIBS untuk analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif paduan logam (low alloy steel) dan karbon dalam sampel batuan.
