Aquest llibre ofereix experiències i propostes de seqüències didàctiques per aprendre a escriure. La selecció ha tingut en compte criteris referits a la diversitat de gèneres i als diferents nivells educatius (primària, secundària obligatòria i batxillerat). Donar sentit a les activitats d ́escriure i d ́aprendre a escriure i centrar l ́atenció en continguts d ́aprenentatge que interessin especialment en cada situació és important a tots els nivells. No és una opció arbitrària d ́ensenyament, sinó que té les seves arrels en les teories que consideren l ́activitat humana vinculada a les finalitats que es proposa i que són les que li donen sentit.
Propostas Didáticas para aprender a escrever
Este livro oferece experiências e propostas didáticas para aprender a escrever. A seleção levou em consideração critérios relacionados à diversidade de gêneros e diferentes níveis de escolaridade (ensino fundamental I, ensino fundamental II e ensino médio). Dar sentido às atividades de escrever e de aprender a escrever e concentrar a atenção nos conteúdos de aprendizagem que são de particular interesse em cada situação é importante em todos os níveis. Não é uma opção arbitrária de ensino e tem suas raízes nas teorias que contemplam a atividade humana ligada às finalidades propostas e que são as que lhe dão sentido. Os textos não são a soma de palavras ou frases, não são unidades isoladas das situações em que se produzem. Se, no curso da aprendizagem, fazemos essa separação, os estudantes provavelmente não aprenderão o que lhes é inerente: a participar do diálogo humano por meio, também, da palavra escrita.

Graphic Embodiments
Comics and other graphic narratives powerfully represent embodied experiences that are difficult to express in language. A group of authors from various countries and disciplines explore the unique capacity of graphic narratives to represent human embodiment as well as the relation of human bodies to the worlds they inhabit. Using works from illustrated scientific texts to contemporary comics across national traditions, we discover how the graphic narrative can shed new light on everyday experiences. Essays examine topics that are easily recognized as anchored in the body as well as experiences like migration and concepts like environmental degradation and compassion that emanate from or impact on our embodied states. Graphic Embodiments is of interest to scholars and students across various interdisciplinary fields including comics studies, gender and sexuality studies, visual and cultural studies, disability studies and health and medical humanities.

Caring for Cultural Studies

This is the first book monograph devoted to Anglophone Ukrainian Canadian children’s historical fiction published between 1991 and 2021. It consists of five chapters offering cross-sectional and interdisciplinary readings of 41 books – novels, novellas, picturebooks, short stories, and a graphic novel.
