Unmasking Islam

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, but what effect is it having in society, governments, and what effect could it potentially have in the future? Unmasking Islam uncovers urgent truths about Islam that Westerners, Christians, Jews, and even Muslims must learn. This is a study of these truths that are taken directly from the writings and sayings of Islamic texts and scholars. Islam is not a religion of peace and never was. Who is Allah and Muhammad? Many young Muslims are not aware of what the Qur'an teaches as they do not read, speak or write Arabic. What is the media not telling the world about Sharia law, radical Islam and atrocities worldwide in the name of Allah? Most importantly, Muslims are children of God just like all of us. The purpose of this book is to explain the truth about what the Qur'an teaches. Christians today must share the truth and love of Christ so that we can truly live in a more peaceful world and retain the freedoms we have fought so diligently to preserve.

Imam Baqir (as) said "Since the death of the Holy Prophet (s) we Ahl ul bayt have been humiliated, made distant and have been deprived and killed and made to leave our home town and we felt frightened for our blood and the blood of our followers. The cheaters, through their lies, got nearer to the leaders, judges and governors in every city and our enemies told false and invalid traditions relating to their past leaders and quoted narrations that we had never told. They only wanted to humiliate us and wanted to accuse us of falsehood, and wanted to get nearer to their leaders through lies. After the passing away of Hassan (a.s) this became very common during the time of Muawiyah. At that time, in every city, Shias were killed, their hands and feet were cut off and they were hanged on accusations of their being near to us and talking about their love for us."

In recent scholarship, the connection between Middle Arabic and Mixed Arabic is studied in a more systematic way. The idea of studying these two varieties in one theoretical frame is quite new, and was initiated at the conferences of the International Association for the Study of Middle and Mixed Arabic (AIMA). At these conferences, the members of AIMA discuss the latest insights into the definition, terminology, and research methods of Middle and Mixed Arabic. Results of various discussions in this field are to be found in the present book, which contains articles describing and analysing the linguistic features of Muslim, Jewish and Christian Arabic texts (folklore, religious and linguistic literature) as well as the matters of mixed language and diglossia. Contributors include: Berend Jan Dikken, Lutz Edzard, Jacques Grand’Henry, Bruno Halflants, Benjamin Hary, Rachel Hasson Kenat, Johannes den Heijer, Amr Helmy Ibrahim, Paolo La Spisa, Jérôme Lentin, Gunvor Mejdell, Arie Schippers, Yosef Tobi, Kees de Vreugd, Manfred Woidich, and Otto Zwartjes.

In his lifetime, Ibn-Daqiq wrote many books but this has become his most popular. In it he comments on the forty hadiths compiled by Yahya Al-Nawawi and known as the Nawawi Forty Hadiths. His commentary has become so popular that it is virtually impossible for any scholar to write a serious book about the forty hadiths without quoting Ibn-Daqiq. This is the only book that combines the sagacity of Ibn-Daqiq and the vast knowledge of Al-Nawawi. The book was written centuries ago but its benefits are everlasting. The book is indispensible for anyone who wants to study Islam thoroughly and laconically from the masters themselves. We translated from Arabic Ibn-Daqiq's commentary in its entirety. We listed the text of each hadith first and followed it by the commentary. We added a detailed table of contents and thorough explanatory notes. A short introduction to the science of hadith by the translators is also included.

Whatever Happened to Christianity?

Seventeen times per day, Muslims pray that Allah would keep them from going astray--in the way that Christians have gone astray. But have they? Rather than portraying Jesus Christ as an imposter who claimed to be divine, Islamic theology presents Jesus as a mortal prophet who served his generation as other prophets did their respective generations. Since Christians believe the biblical narrative that Jesus is Lord, God, and Savior, it is not surprising that the standard Islamic narrative asserts that Christians have gone astray. In fact, if Christians are correct in their beliefs, then the advent of Muhammad, and the religion of Islam itself, are unnecessary to God's cosmic history. This book probes deeply into the extremely urgent--but often unasked--question facing Muslims regarding when, where, and how the main body of Christians may have gone astray.
